Eusebio Alonso García is Senior Lecturer in the Valladolid School of Architecture, Spain, (http://www.arq.uva.es/), Department of Theory of the Architecture and Architectural Projects and Design, Member of the Group of Research Recognised ´Architecture and Cinema´(GIRAC www.girarquitecturaycine.uva.es). 

His trajectory combines teaching, research and professional practice as architect, whose experience in the three fields is guaranteed by a lot of publications, exhibitions, awards and acknowledgements of his works and projects of architecture, works of research and publications: Prize Spanish Academy, Rome (1990-91); Finalist IV award Arquithesis (Spain, 2003); First prize Benta-Berri Housing, 1993; Fourth prize Europan III, 1993; First prize and second prize of architecture in Castilla y León (CyL) 98-99; Third prize Sports Center in Santander, 2002; Honorable mention of sustainable construction CyL, 2007; First prize in architecture in CyL 2008-10; Architecture in Zamora XXI century, 2011; Third Prize: Center of entrepreneurs in Torrelavega, 2013. Projects of Teaching Innovation: First prize (2017) and Second prize (2015) Isover Multi-comfort House; First prize USITT, EE.UU. 2016.

He has researched the phenomenological aspects of contemporary living, the ability to transform the old modern neighbourhoods and improve everyday life (Borromini, Le Corbusier, Breuer, Ridolfi, Siza, Paulo Mendes da Rocha, Le Corbusier versus Fritz Lang, Actions to recover the absent city, Accommodations for new ways of inhabiting). His interest in the relationship between Cinema and the Visual Arts, Architecture, Public space and the City are now focused on the study of media and its phenomenological involvement as material and tool of contemporary architecture.
